Back to the Cats

We enjoyed another round at Orange County National and played Crooked Cat again.  I played a better game then what I had been playing, but still struggled with my putting.  Was very excited getting a birdie today.  That always feels good.  After our game we sat together and enjoyed a nice drink.  The guys went out and played Panthers Run again and the girls went home to relax by the pool.  We prepared dinner and enjoyed all of our leftovers.  Even got some reading in today which was nice.

Golf and Shopping What More Can You Ask For

We had a fantastic day today.  We golfed at Harmony Golf Course.  It was a very enjoyable courrse to play.  We saw a lot of wild turkeys on the course and some Alligators.  We received a really nice golf bag tag as well.  I would certainly come back to this course again.  We had no lineups (nobody pushing you from behind).     After playing the guys booked for another round and tne ladies went to the outlet mall to do some shopping.  We were pleasantly surprised when the guys got home they prepared supper for us.  We had a decisous supper of Talapia, Zucchini, Asparagus and Roasted Potatoes.  They even treated us to some Pistatio Yogurt Ice Cream which was delicious.  They can certainly do that again.  After dinner we enjoyed a nice hot tub to relax.   The night flew by.  Looking forward to another fun day tomorrow.

Panthers Lake and Crooked Cat

Another beautiful day today.  We played a round of golf at Orange County National - Panthers Lake and when we were done we booked another round at Crooked Cat.  Today was not my best day for a round of golf but still had fun.  There were tons of Cranes and Ibis's and different birds to see.  A lot of sandtraps in front of the greens.  The days start out cool.  We have a jacket and a sweater on, but start peeling layers as we play.  After golf we came home and Grace and John made some delicious Nasi and Salad.  In the evenings, the boys have been very gracious and make us lunches for the next day.  Tonight it is time for a hot tub to relax my aching feet.  Will be in bed early again.

Royal St. Cloud

We were up early this morning and all set for a great game of golf.  We were on the road by 7:00.  The girls were able to tee-off as a threesome and the guys had a single join them.  What fun we had.  The course had its challenges with water hazards and sand traps.  We saw some really unique trees that looked pretty cool.  There were snake birds that would hold their wings out to dry.  The guys saw an alligator on the course but the girls missed it.
After the game we went to Starbucks so Ralph could do some more work.  The ladies walked through a mall but three quarters of the stores were closed.  It seemed to be very Mexican run and not a lot of stores you would do any shopping in.
We enjoyed a terrific meal at home cooked by Grace.  It was loaded with vegetables that we poured over some rice with some lamb on the side.  Delicious.

It won't be a late night.  It is nearly 8:00 and I am struggling to keep my eyes open.  Another great day.

Surprises Still Coming

What an awesome day today.  We enjoyed a sermon by Rev. McLeod.  The guys gave us the impression we were going on a hike.  When we got to our destination, they took a picture of Grace and Ralph and Lawrence and I with John showing us a sign we were going on a swamp tour.  We were so surprised and very pleased.  It was a lot of fun.  We saw alligators. water moccasin snames and lots of birds.  The most amazing thing we saw were some Wood Storks.  Apparently these are very rare to see and we had a couple with a baby.  Our tour guide Blake (from Spirit of the Swamp Tours) was just as excited about seeing these birds as we were.  He wants our pictures to publish on Facebook.  Unfortunately towards the end we started to have a ticking sound with our boat.  Turns out it needed engine work.  A problem with the lifters.  Afterwards we headed back home and got supper ready.  Ralph had to do some work, so we enjoyed some relaxing time at home.  We are all looking forward to a fun game of golf tomorrow at Royal St. Cloud.  Breakfast and lunches are ready to go.  Now all we need is a good nights sleep :)

Orlando Here We Come

We were up early this morning.  Finished packing a few last minute items, took Oakley out, fed him and enjoyed breakfast at the Sunset Grill.  As we were eating I realized I didn’t pack my capris or long pants for golf in case it was cold.  We went back home, quickly loaded some pants in my suitcase and we were off.  When we were close to Niagara the weather got really snowy.  The roads were not that clear but we took our time and got to the border safely.  We couldn’t believe our eyes when we got there.  There was no lineup to get across.  This was at 10:00 am.  We stopped for a coffee and then headed to the airport.  We were nice and early so no worries there.  We enjoyed some lunch at the Anchor Bar and Grill.  Our plane was delayed for about ½ hour and had to be de-iced.   We had a smooth flight and arrived safely in Orlando.  We rented a Chey Cruz and made a arrangements to meet up with the guys at Bahama Breeze.  While driving Lawrence and I had were so caught up with how much we had to pay for the Toll Booth that we were not paying attention to the lane we were in and we were in the Sunpass lane.  There was a vehicle stopped in front of us and guess who he happened to be talking to.  Ralph was trying to get someone to change a dollar as they had no coin on them and this Toll Booth wasn’t manned by anyone.  We recognized him right away and were joking that he was stopping traffic still not realizing we were in the wrong.  It is a good thing he was there because there is quite a hefty fine for going through the Sun Pass with no pass.  We had some change so they could get through and met at the restaurant.  Everyone was in good spirits.

When we got to the house, we had signs at the door showing our rooms.  Lawrence and I were each given separate rooms.   We had a good chuckle there.    We were struggling with the Internet last night but finally figured it out.  The pool was supposed to be heated and that was not working so we will have to have them come and check that out as well.   Everyone was in good spirits.  We are going to have a wonderful week.
