The Gables

What a fast week.  Today is Friday already and we played the Gables today.  It was right beside the Anne of Green Gables village.  We could see Anne's house as we played the course.  The guys saw a fox today on the course while yesterday the ladies had seen a fox on the course.  (forgot to mention that in yesterdays blog).  We played 18 holes plus 9 more.  We were all set to go home and get ready for our Lobster Tour and it started to pour.  It ended up getting cancelled on us so we went out for dinner at Shaw's Restaurant.  This place is a historic place and has been around for 146 years.   After dinner we went home and enjoyed a drink together as this was our last night together.  Tomorrow we will play our last round of golf at Anderson's Creek and than we have to allow Tony and Arja to pack as they are flying home.

Glasgow Hills

Today we played Glasgow Hills.  It was again a very scenic course with challenging greens.  I borrowed a club from John and it made my game much more enjoyable, as I was able to keep up with the ladies again.  Funny how a change of club can make such a difference.  When we finished the round, Grace and Ralph and Lawrence and I decided to do some site seeing, instead of playing another round.  John and Grace and Tony and Arja stayed to play another one.  We went to visit the Cheese Place and checked out some of the lighthouses along the shoreline.  The views were beautiful and well worth taking the time away from golfing.
We enjoyed a nice meal of roast, potatoes and cauliflower and carrots.  Yummy!!  In the evening I took the time to update my blog as I had been behind a few days.

Eagles Glenn

Today, our golf course was nice and close to home.  We played Eagles Glen.  We enjoyed the course and were so focused on Golf that not many pictures were taken.  After we completed our round only 1 set of 4 could play a round so we let the guys play and the women went back home and sat back to relax for a while.  We cooked a nice meal of fish and salad and smashed potatoes.  After dinner we went to a show at the School House to see the Ross Family perform a Caleid evening.  Turned out to be a fun evening.

Crowbush

Today we were ready for another amazing day of golf.  We played Crowbush today which was along the water.  The views were spectacular.  We managed to squeeze in a second round as well.  The guys decided to do some grocery shopping along the way home so the ladies drove home together on their own.  We had a delicous meal of Nasi.  We all slept well and were in bed at a decent time.

Anderson Creek

What an awesome day today.  We were up early and enjoyed an easy breakfast of porridge and toast this morning.  We went to Anderson Creek which is where we rented the Villas from.  We played 2 rounds of Golf.  In between we enjoyed a couple plates of mussels which were free when you ordered a drink from the course.  Congratulations Arja who scored under 100 today.  Whoohoo.  We got back to the Villa around 5:00 and made a Nasi dinner.  The ladies enjoyed a nice hot tub afterward.  Tomorrow we are going to Crowbush and are pretty excited about golfing this course which is along the water.  Having a wonderful time together.

Enjoying the Sites of PEI

Today we went to the CRC Church and enjoyed a nice sermon.  The members there were extremely friendly.  Tony and Arja had a couple introduce themselves with the same last name of Speelman.  That was funny.  We had a lady in front of us who taught at Timothy Christian School in Toronto.   Her name then was Masselink.  We then went for a walk at Berkley Beach by the National Park.  It was such a beautiful day walking along the beach.  We checked out a few lighthouses as well.  Afterwards we went back to the Hotel and relaxed their for the remainder of the afternoon.  It has been a very relaxing day and we are thoroughly enjoying making our own meals.

Mill River

After a refreshing sleep, we were up around 6:30 excited to play our first round of golf at Mill River.  We enjoyed some yummy scrambled eggs that Ralph had made and were on the road by 7:45.  We arrived at Mill River and practiced swinging a few balls first.  Our tee-off was at 10:30 and we found the course had some very challenging greens with undulating hills on them.  Today I did not not play my best round of golf but enjoyed myself none the less.  We got home around 5:30 and met up with John and Grace who had settled in beside us.  We enjoyed a quick drink and toast together before heading off to Charlottetown for dinner.  We had a nice dinner at Peakes Quay.  Afterwards we enjoyed a little bit of shopping and than stopped for a coffee at Starbucks.  We than headed off to the airport to pick up Tony and Ajra.  We enjoyed a quick drink together before heading off to bed.  Looking forward to sharing a great week together.

Day 2 PEI Arrival

We were up early this morning and on the road by 7:00.  All set and ready to go with the GPS fixed.  It was exciting crossing the Confederation Bridge into PEI.  We made great timing and arrived at our Condo at approximately 5:30.  We toasted each other, all looking forward to a great week.  Once we were unpacked we headed to the Pearl, an eclectic seafood restaurant.  The food just melted in your mouth.  Grace and I enjoyed some scallops with vanilla butter lobster and the guys had enjoyed some halibut and baby shrimp.  The restaurant was very busy.  Our rooms are not bad, we have 2 King size beds and we are right beside Grace and John and Tony and Arja.  We are now getting ready for our first round of golf at Mill River where you see the competition on TV for the Big Break.   We planned a later start because this course is about an hour and 20 minutes away from us.  We will sleep well tonight.
