We have arrived

We slept in this morning and were up around 7:30ish. Felt good to catch up on some sleep. We ate breakfast at the hotel and than headed out for some coffee and to our final destination at the Caribbean in Myrtle Beach.  We arrived around 1:00 but weren't allowed to check in until 3:00 so we visited some of our golf shops, picked up some gas and headed over to the hotel.  We unpacked our luggage and relaxed by our favorite place on the balcony.  It was cool to see the birds catching fish out of the water.  We seemed to have missed the rain they had been calling for.  We picked up a few groceries and had some dinner at Gorden Biersh.  When we got home we noticed a lightning storm over the water.  Was cool to watch.  Grace and Ralph got some nice shots on their camera.  We got our golf bags ready as we play our first game tomorrow morning.  Looing forward to it.

Myrtle Beach - Here we come

Who would have thought the time has come already for our golf trip to Myrtle Beach.  We packed the truck up the night before and were on the road by 5:05 am.  The one thing we were hoping for is to have better weather than last year. What a surprise when we were almost at our Hotel in Winston Salem and our phones went off with a weather alert for flash floods.  Luckily we only had a little rain and a beautiful rainbow.  Tomorrow they are calling for more rain but Saturday and Sunday look good.  Something to look forward to.  We drove for around 13:00 hours, checked into our room and relaxed for a while before going out for dinner.  We went to a sports bar called Twin Peaks for dinner and saw part of the Canada/Europe game.  We actually had to ask if they would put the game on for us.  They were very accommodating and did this.  We saw the final part of the game in our room.  Yeah Canada for winning.
