Practising for Timothy Tee-Off

I would like to be Grace's partner in the Timothy Tee-Off if she golfs like she did today.  Rev. Kim, Wilf and Mark also played good games.  Myself (oh well, better days are coming).  The weather turned out gorgeous.  Mark and I had met with the staff of Glen Eagle to make arrangements for the Timothy Tournament.  The rest of the committee met with us at 5:00 and we played 9 holes of golf.  We had a mini meeting after the tournament but ended up having to leave because they wanted to close the place down.  Looking forward to the tournament.

Ladies League Golfing at Cardinal

Brrrrrr.   It's cold today.  Should we go or should we hibernate in our homes today.  The weather was rainy all day today, but 4 of us headed to the Golf Course at Cardinal to play our round of golf.  We golfed 9 holes.  It was hard to golf with so many layers.  Our hands were cold today, but Grace H. was on target with her putts today and everything else compared to the rest of us as well.  Grace H. won longest drive, closest to the pin (even though she was not on the green), low net and least amount of putts.  Grace should golf in the rain more often, as it works for her.  I managed to get 2 points today (nothing to brag about, but at least that is 2 more than those who did not show up).  It was a lot of fun today even though the weather was not on our side.  Thank you Grace H., Grace S. and Arja S. for agreeing to come out.  It was a fun time.  Next week we will do better.  Sorry only got 3 pictures today, showing our better sides.

Golfing At Copper Creek (Round 2)

What an awesome day.  The weather was gorgeous.  We arrived at Copper Creek a little early and were able to shoot a few balls before heading on the course.  We golfed 2 3somes this round.  Lawrence, John and Ralph were one team, and Grace H, Grace S and myself were another team.  Did not play my best game, but was 1 point lower than the last time we played Copper Creek.  We enjoyed another wonderful supper at Grace and Ralph's which consisted of Roasted Potatoes, BBQ Roasted Veggies, Lamb and some Chicken Ceasar Salad.  Dessert was made up of different tarts.  Had a great time together.

Settler's Golf - Monday April 25th

It wasn't promising to be a great day as the forecast was rain.  Every link we checked out had forecasted rain.  We headed up to Horsehoe Valley as we had free golf passes from the Golf Show at Settler's Ghost.  They would not allow us to play 3 ladies and 3 men together because they claimed to be too busy, so Lawrence and I had played with Jim and Judy.  They were a couple in their 60's.  We enjoyed a fun game and I had shot my best game ever with a score of 102.  Hoping to get below 100 this year and coming close.  John, Grace, Ralph and Grace were behind us.  They too shot great games.   Afterwards we enjoyed dinner at the Keg in Barrie and had a night cap at John and Grace's after that.  We can live with this kind of rain any day.  We could see evidence of rain close to John and Grace's but that was all.

Golfing At Copper Creek

We enjoyed a round of golf at Copper Creek on Saturday, April 23rd.  The weather started out a little wet.  We all had about 3 layers on, but as the day progressed we were stripping layers.  Grace told the starter that we would be in our bikini's by end of the game.  He had a good chuckle and told us he would be there waiting for us.  We met up with John Speelman on the 18th hole and enjoyed a drink with him.  Afterwards we were spoiled with a Roast Beef dinner at Grace and Ralph's.  We brought some trifle along for dessert.  What a fun day.  We did a lot of walking and by the end of the day, I could feel my body stiffening up.  Need to get more in shape for summer.

Last Round of Golf

We enjoyed a wonderful day of golf.  Played my best game but it still wasn't good enough.  Shot 109.  Each day getting better.  I think I need to stay another week.  At the end of our game, we saw some Pileated Woodpeckers.  That was neat.  This morning we went to see the beach and we saw a bunch of dead Jelly fish.  They were fairly big.  We are going to enjoy a late dinner at SeaQueue this evening and we are slowly packing things up to go home.
