Tiger's Eye
Wow, what a day today. We started out by getting up around 5:55. At 6:45 we headed for breakfast altogether. When we were done, Ed and Janice headed back to our room for a shower before moving on to Charleston, while the rest of us headed off to our first Golf Course. Today we played Tiger's Eye. What a beautiful course. We thoroughly enjoyed playing here. It was very picturesque and challenging. It certainly made us excited about the rest of the courses we will be playing. Before heading back to our place we enjoyed a bun which we had brought from home and a glass of beer and wine. The weather started out around 48 but by the second hole we were peeling off layers already. This is supposed to be the coldest day this week so we should be in for some great weather. We stopped by the other Martin store and I bought a new Rescue wood to replace my 6 iron. Can't wait to try it out. When we got back to our hotel, Lawrence and I enjoyed a hot tub while Grace and Ralph made lunches for tomorrow. We enjoyed a drink in our room and then we went to Gordon Biersch by Market Common. The meal was delicious. A place we could certainly go back to. Now it is time to put our feet up. It will be an early night to bed after our first day on the course as we dream of tomorrows challenge..

Sunday - A Day of Rest
We woke up this morning to a beautiful sunrise. I rolled over in my bed to see Grace on the balcony taking pictures of the sunrise. Luckily she grabbed my camera and took some shots for me as well. I got out of bed, had a quick shower and joined her.
We went to Faith Presbyterian PCA Church. The church was filled with mainly Canadians. We met a group of approximately 100 people from Niagara Falls area.
In the afternoon we enjoyed a walk along the beach and collected some shells. We are patiently waiting for Ed and Janice to join us. Looking forward to a good time with them this evening.
For dinner we went to California Roadhouse. We had a great meal and relaxed with each other in the evening.

Arrival at Myrtle Beach
We woke up this morning at 5:45 am. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel and than headed to Columbia. We stopped at the Total Wine store and picked up some wine and beer for the week. We stopped for some coffee and than headed to our hotel arriving around 2:45. We unpacked and relaxed. Grace tried taking some panoramic views of the ocean on her new camera. It was neat to see the dark spots of fish in the water again. We went to our favourite store Martins. Afterwards we tried a new Pizza place called Ultimate California Pizza. We ordered 4 different pan sized pizzas which were cut into 4 slices. We each had a piece of 4 different pizzas. Yummy, we will certainly order from here again. In the evening we relaxed at home after doing a bit of grocery shopping.

On Our Way To Myrtle Beach
Our bags are packed and we are ready to go. We were up early so we called Ralph and Grace to see if they were ready to leave earlier. Of course they were. We set off and made our first stop at Duty Free. Crossing the border, Laura called just as we arrived at the border control station. Ralphs phone answers in the truck automatically. Our attendant was not too impressed and warned us to turn our cell phones off when crossing the border. We made great time getting to Winston Salem. We stopped for gas and ate our lunch in the car while traveling. Grace and I enjoyed a movie in the car along the way. We saw Country Strong. The weather has been cooler than we hoped but the further south we went it got up to the 60's. We enjoyed some dinner at Applebees before entering the Hotel. Now we are putting our feet up and enjoying a drink together. Looking forward to arriving in Myrtle Beach tomorrow.

Walk along the Lakeshore
It has been a quiet long weekend. This afternoon we went for a walk along the lakeshore. We saw some of the airshow going on at the CNE. The show didn't seem to have as many planes as we have seen in the past, but it was still fun to see. We took Oakley with us and he enjoyed the walk.
Camping in Killbear August 10 to 22 - Lighthouse Point # 1452
It has been a while that we have camped in Killbear. It was good to be back again. We were amazed at the amount of deer we saw on the side of the roads. There were bear walking through campsites as well. We were camping with Jim and Debbie and the boys, Henry and Yolande and the kids, Dave and Janet Banks and their 2 boys, Barb and Richard with the girls visiting a couple of times, Wilf and Lydia and Kristen with her friend Courtney. We had visitors join us such as Mom and Dad, Ed and Liz, the Miedema's, the Bloms, Mike and Janice and friends of theirs. Jerry and Liz came the second week and Ed and Janice came on our last day. We were never lonely. Went fishing and were able to have one awesome fish fry which tasted delicious. Wilf learned a new way to fillet the fish. Enjoyed some cool lightning storms seen in the distance. First week weather was awesome. Second week not as nice.
Camping the August Long Weekend in 6 Mile Lake
It has been a long time since we camped on a long weekend. Lawrence had taken Thursday and Friday off before the long weekend and took Sandra camping somewhere close to home. They tried Awenda and couldn't get in so we ended up at 6 Mile Lake. We had a postage stamp size campsite but it was close to the water and worked perfect for a weekend. Sean joined us on the Saturday. Wilf and Lydia and the kids and Dave and Wilma and some of the kids came up on the Sunday to join us for the day. Who would have thought we could fit 16 of us around the campfire for dinner. Had a great time.
