Nine and Dine at Redcrest

What a wonderful evening to golf.  The weather was gorgeous.  We golfed nine holes at Redcrest.  We had our great shots and our bad shots but we had lots of fun.  Grace Speelman, Arja and I golfed together and Melinda and Claudia golfed together.  We were finished quite a bit sooner than Melinda and Claudia.  Dinner was delicious.  We started out with some Bruchetta and than we enjoyed some pecan chicken over a salad.  For dessert we had icecream crepes with some fresh fruit which was quite yummy.  The sunset this evening was beautiful as well.

Golfing at Granite Ridge with the Family

On Saturday, July 9th, we went to Granite Ridge Golf Course with the family.  The weather was really hot but any time golfing is a good time.  I am ooooohhhh  sooooooo close to getting under the 100 mark which is my goal this year.  I shot a 100.  Certainly made me feel good.  We enjoyed a nice BBQ at Homer and Linda's afterwards and cooled down by putting our feet in the pool.  It was a very enjoyable day.  Grace managed to get a nice heat rash on her legs.  Most of us burnt the backs of our legs.  This must have come from walking the course.  Need to reorganize your way of doing things as you don't have your purse along to store things.

26th Wedding Anniversary

Today, Lawrence and I celebrated our 26th Wedding Anniversary.  We enjoyed a nice dinner at Canyon Creek and had Wilf and Lydia, Grace and Ralph and Harry and Marian join us in the evening.  It was a nice way to celebrrate.

Last Day at Niagara on the Lake

We did some more exploring today at Niagara on the Lake.  We checked out the Brock Monument.  Lawrence and I walked the 235 stairs to the top.  I needed to take a breather every 30 steps or so, but did make it to the top.  Going down was a lot easier.  Could feel the knees a little as the day wore on.  We walked through Art in the Park.  They sold a lot of jewellery and paintings.  The photos on canvas were beautiful to look at.  We also enjoyed a picnic lunch by the beach which was fun.  We thoroughly enjoyed this weekend.

Dinner at Hillebrand

We met up with Chuck and Claudia at Hillebrand Winery where we enjoyed a wonderful meal together.  The food was delicious.  Some of us had chicken, some us had ribeye and some of us had halibut.  For appetizers some us had Salmon and some us had sea scallops with blood sausage ravioli and crab coleslaw.

Another Day at Peninsula Lakes

Another awesome day for a round of golf.  I think I shot one of my worst games this year, but still had fun.  On the other hand Grace had a fantastic round and shot under 100.  Way to go Grace.  We were having such a good time that after lunch we decided to do another 9 holes  Each round of 9 the shots were getting better, but still not a great game.  Oh well.  We will have to do better the next time.  Now getting ready for dinner with Chuck and Claudia.

The Hilton Garden Inn - A room with a View

After saying goodbye to John and Grace we drove to our hotel.  We were given a room with a view!!!  We went to Niagara on the Lake and did some walking in the main town.  Afterwards we went out for dinner at Johnny Rocco's.  When dinner was done we had a hot tab at the hotel and relaxed in our room.

Golfing at Peninsula Lakes 2011

We were up at 5:30 am and Grace and Ralph and Grace and John were over at 6:00 to pick us up for a round of golf at Peninsula Lakes.  Lawrence drove with Grace and Ralph and I drove with John and Grace.  The weather was great and we arrived in one piece.  This was a long course for the ladies.  Afterwards we enjoyed lunch all together at the golf course.  What a fun time.  To bad Grace and John had to go.
