Exploring the Cabot Trail and Golfing (Day 4)

We woke up to another beautiful day.  We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and spoke with a few travellers staying at the same Inn.  We decided to head to the Visitor Centre first and see what we could do in the few hour visit we had.  The lady we spoke to recommended we head to Pleasant Bay and if we were lucky it was still early enough to see a Moose.  We were lucky and saw a female along the side of the road.  The views were quite beautiful to watch.  The water was fairly rough.  There is a lot of construction on the road so we encountered quite a few delays.  By the time we reached Pleasant Bay it was almost time to go home.  We stopped and, enjoyed an ice cream here and than headed back home to get ready for a round of golf.  We played at LePortage Golf Club.  We had to learn how to use a new set of clubs but it was fun to get out.  Had an issue with bugs while playing.  My neck feels raw from black fly bites.  We came back home for a little rest and went to a restaurant for dinner called All Aboard.  The snow crab was delicious.  Afterwards we walked along a small boardwalk and watched the sunset.  Was very relaxing and enjoyable.

  1. Wow Teresa. Those pictures of the Moose are pretty cool. I've never been that close. This area looks really beautiful and I'm glad you had a nice day for golf as well. Sad to hear that the construction has followed you all the way from Ontario. I'm sure that the drive along the coast was really beautiful.
