Day 3 - Downtown San Francisco

Today was a much better day - Grace started out the morning by calling the place we were staying at in Yosemite to see if the park was closed.   It was still closed and raining there so we had to make a decision on what we were going to do.  We decided to cancel going to Yosemite (and the owners of where we were going to stay were very gracious about not charging us any cancellation fees) and plan to head along the coast to Santa Cruz for a few days.  We drove our car to an area close to the Golden Gate bridge and even managed to find a parking spot with free parking.  The dutch was coming out in us.  We did all the things we had hoped to - took a cable car ride, saw the sourdough factory, enjoyed seeing the see lions along Pier 39 and ate dinner at our favourite Crab House.  Was delicious.  I was quite proud of myself as I walked 15,600 footsteps.  For me that is a lot.  The day was hazy and sunny in the afternoon.  Did not have the opportunity to take a nice sunset picture but those days will come still.  We ended the day with a nice ice cream from Ghiredelli's.  When we got back to the Hotel most of us were to tired to do much.  Was a great day.  Now we feel like we are on holidays
